data-id=\"https:\/\/chewett.co.uk\/blog\/2685\/reviewing-the-makerhawk-raspberry-pi-4b-armor-case-and-benchmarking-it\/\">MakerHawk Raspberry Pi 4B Armor Case on my previous blog post<\/a>. It is an aluminium case with two fans that are powered by the GPIO pins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also provides heat transfer pads to allow the primary microchips on the Raspberry Pi to conduct heat to the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Heat reduction after placing the case on<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is an image of the temperature of the CPU before and after placing the case on the Raspberry Pi. This is because the aluminium case will be a lower temperature initially and will be warmed up by the CPU. As it warms up it will be less able to reduce the heat in the CPU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eventually the temperature transfer rate stabilises and roughly fluctuates based on ambient temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall adding the case has around a 7 degree temperature drop (50 degrees down to 43).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Heat reduction after turning on the fans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is an image of the temperature of the CPU before and after turning on the fans on the Raspberry Pi case.
